Very clever from The Killers. I do wonder what they would have done had England lost but I suspect they would have played Mr Brightside as an attempt at consolation.

Spain deserved winners.

7 wins, beating Italy, Germany, France and England on that run.

Weren't good enough, but I put this down more to Southgate's negative tactics than the players. We pushed our luck the whole tournament. With this group of players we've got about four years left, but we need a new manager.

Btw, that ref was crap and in added time he was well out of order. 4 minutes added time. Spain waste 1 and a half of that on one freekick and the ref blows his whistle bang on four minutes.

They didn't bottle it. They lost by one goal in the final to a better team.

Did the nasty Spanish team steal your sense of humour?

Southgate has resigned!

Fair enough. 4 major tournaments is a substantial stint, and some England fans seem to have forgotten 2014 and 2016.

No - the constant narrative of England bottling it and calling relative success a failure. There will be many people who are saying "about time" with respect to Southgate's resignation but his time in charge has been a period of success compared with the rest of the 21st century.

And yet here you are shouting at lager.

That doesn't make any sense. I didn't shout. I didn't even try to talk to "lager". I made a general point about an advertiser belittling England's performance at the Euros.

Tennant's lager as a company made the joke. You're arguing with a joke. And I was using the shouting at tea meme.

True, but I still think this comes at the right time. Had some great memories but time to move on.
