England v West Indies
« on: July 11, 2024, 11:04:46 AM »
England had a good start yesterday, but I'm more confused about the BBC's headline today

Quote
England extend lead over West Indies on day two

At the time I took the screenshot, they had only just started and hadn't scored any more runs.

Thanks for confirming that. I saw that and thought there had been no runs scored, or that possibly I had thought it was 189 when it had been 185 or higher at close but no.

Though it's well extended now. The ideal is an innings win with Anderson taking the last 2nd innings wicket for a five-for.

Very quick end to the England innings. 250 looks a good enough lead to win though perhaps the innings victory unlikely. Anderson added to his world record of  not out test innings.

Windies 57 - 5, Anderson 2 wickets. The story could be on.

Innings victory but not quite the full fairy tale.

Absolutely fabulous cricketer.

Seem to be going well again.
It just feels odd. And yes, going well. Hoping that Pope or Brook go on to make a century as getting out between 50 and 100 was frequent in the last test.

385 for West Indies to win. Been a good test match so far, and time for all results .

Though Shoaib Bashir is doing his best to make only one result likely
