I don't find his initial approaches boring - flat wrong usually, but not boring. What I do find though is that, having posted the equivalent of 2+2=5 and had his error pointed out to him, his response is either:

1. To ignore it for a bit, and a while later to post that 2+2=5;

2. To distort the correction with an, "Oh so you think the moon is made of cream cheese then" type straw man; or

3. To resort to a "you're fat" type ad hom.

And that's boring.

I find his posts and the posts of those responbding easier to read if I replace all the mentions of the various errors, "straw man", "ad hom" etc, with the word "bollocks" they are easier for this old GCE O level only fogey to understand.

I am not sure about this type of thread but I will take the opportunity to say that despite my many disagreements, annoyances, and despair about Vlad, I rarely find him boring and find him an adornment to the board, even if that is sometimes as a gargoyle is an adornment to a cathedral.

It is amazing - this is the first thread where I have seen no-one de-railing it and have got answers that make sense - something which the subject of the thread rarely does!

Why would they derail it? This is where all threads end up. You've just cut out the middle men and women and gone for the jugular!!!
