Good idea. Those wealthy exiled northerners wanting to expand Biggin Hill will hopefully fluck off back to where they came from.

It is also in an area of deprivation and unemployment.

Absolutely not. It's too vulnerable to the Heinkels.

It is also about 75 miles from the city it will serve, which would be perfect for Ryanair.
How can something so perfect be so flawed.

And best of all, people from anywhere other than the south east of England who want to get there will have to go through London. They can can then be fleeced to their last penny and our great capital will become even richer than it is now.

It can't fail.

Can't they go round the M25? We all know how much fun that is, it would be like a holiday bonus.

Indeed. They could use the Dartford Crossing and be subject to the most irrational form of toll collection ever devised by officialdom.

It'd give visitors from abroad a wonderful insight to British public planning.

London could be ignored by winding the window up and turning up the volume on the radio.

Best way to see it, in my experience ...

You'd still have to pay the congestion charge.

Looks like a way has been found of bypassing local authority jurisdiction to get Manston back as an Airport by appealing for permission from the minister as a strategic case.

What with havering over Heathrow reestablishment of Manston would I thought, be on the cards

In that case why not build one in Calais and make them use the tunnel? Send all those immigrants back to Africa and place it where the 'Jungle' is. Let all those Frenchies breath those fumes and put up with all that traffic...our lot can still work there as many commute using the tunnel anyway.
