If, as you have said before, the NT was developed many years, even coenturies afyter the evennts it purports to desctribe, what's the point of a Jewish commentary?  Isn't it simply a commentary on an anti-semitic document?

Seeing it from a Jewish perspective, rather than a Christian one.

I think a Christians view of Judaism is warped mainly by their desire to prove Christianity.

So you always get an unbalanced view,  of what things might have meant to Jesus, the Jewish teacher.

It's that, the different angle, one that doesn't rely on you believing in Christian theology.

It's trying to separate the Jewish Jesus in the NT from Christian theology.

It's hard to separate the the Jewish Jesus in the NT from the Jewish Jesus of Christianity.  After all, the Jewish Jesus described in the NT is described in the main by Jews.

So, are you suggesting that the Jewish writers of the New Testament were wrong in their Jewish understanding of his teaching?  Bythe way, I said "Not much new there" simply because I've lost count of the number of that kind of article, pretty well all of which said what this writer said, over the last 30+ years.
