Watered down robinsons cordial very nice. But I feel sometimes only fizzy quenches a thirst.

I use to drink blackcurrant and soda when I did ballroom and Latin American dancing.
It is high in sugar but do like the no added sugar Ribena and only 10 calories is good.

I'll have to try that, thanks  :)

If you are over weight, you could in the near future have a gut bacteria transplant :o :o

You mean like have some live yoghurt?
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

I think it sounds quite promising and would be more acceptable, less costly and hazardous and more comfortable (for the patient) than bariatric surgery.

Do I gather (from the emoticons) that you don't like the idea?

Dear Harrowby,

No, just that it is in its early stages of research, more complicated than just replacing one set of bacteria with another, anyway the reason I started this little thread was all about diet drinks ( which I dislike ) the Doctor who was talking about fizzy diet drinks says that our bodies, our minds are conditioned to expect sugar, when the body does not receive the sugar you are left with sugar craving which doesn't help anyone dieting.
