Probably not but she does have two children of his so you can't blame her.  It's a lot of money, I would have thought he'd have considered the security of his family before giving to charity.  He could give her some and the rest to charity.  The way the story is reported makes it sound a lot worse than it is.

Is this morally correct?
If divorced or just separated if no financial settlement with divorce the partner is entitled to half of all the money however it has come into their possession. If he remarries a millionaire the partner can still claim a settlement from their new partners money too.
