Well, yes. It's a proxy war of the big beasts and they can push it to the edge and beyond because it is not their people and homeland that is being decimated. And the Iraq war has turned the West and the UN etc. into dear blinded by headlights. And this chaos allows any old nutter (e.g. ISIS) to pile in and add even more poison.....and all this goes back to the failure of the West in the past to act responsibly towards all countries etc, that weren't their own in fair trade deals etc. (EU to blame for their closed shop attitude) which now results in the hardship and dysfunction of many third world countries; hence the migration crisis. Well, the chickens are coming home to roost.

And in all this the West even antagonize each other in acts of stupidity. And lets close down debate on all this with the politically correct bollocks our leaders have imposed on us.

You said big fan. You over stated the case and so implied something that wasn't there; like a half truth does.

Sometimes opposites attract as in the police can admire the intelligence and skill some top criminals work at. They don't approve of what they do but appreciate the talent involved, though misused.

mmm but then I think we are getting distracted, and I apologise for that, my fault. Given the huge issues in Syria what Diane James thinks about Putin is irrelevant. Can I check that your position seems to be that you think that any form of trade agreements are problematic?

and you mentioned trade agreements by talking about the EU's closed shop attitude. A trade agreement is a closed shop attitude

Nothing passes you, I forgot about that.

No it is not, when it is a bilateral agreement. A trade agreement just makes those points of sale that are particularly important to the two nations favourable to both. They are free to create trade deals with others. What you are referring to are agreement that are labelled free trade deals when they are not like TTIP etc. They tend to favour particular industries at the expense of those that they should profit i.e. the people and nations.

The EU is an inward looking tariff union that has caused much harm to, say, the African states. It protects its products by setting a levy on imports thereby making them uncompetitive in such lucrative markets that the EU was and to some extent is but to a lesser extent.

and any trade agreement does exactly the same. Size, numbers here make no difference
