The Dark Side of Democracy
« on: September 19, 2016, 01:26:38 PM »
Sometimes you don't get the result you want.

Often because the political and social elite think everything is rosy in the garden. This is because everything is rosy in their garden however they have an innate inability to listen or see things through the eyes of the great unwashed. Now, this great unwashed are useful idiots, used to keep them in power and usually do not deserve to be listened to as they have no idea about what is good for them. Knowing what is good for the masses is the job of he political and social elite, however as in Brexit, Merkel has underestimated the feelings of a large swathe of the population.

Even the BBC have called it humiliating.

This is what happens with all systems, the people at the top lose touch with the reason why they are there and use it to line their own pockets. The real problem is that the generations that follow on and take over from the initiates don't have the experience of those initiates that instigated and formed 'whatever' and so the system becomes their play thing; their divine right. They become spoilt little brats and bigoted.
