"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Alan Titchmarsh may have been here.... Well, maybe not. A 4,000 year old garden discovered at Dra abu el Naga (Thebes) http://luxor-news.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/funerary-garden-almost-4000-years-old.html

......and there's more. The latest discovery, from the Middle Kingdom and Second Intermediate Period site of Dra abu-el-naga is the remnants of a funerary garden outside a tomb (so much for secret tombs and mummy curses!) The two trees remind me of bits of the so-called "Book of the Dead" - a series of holy get-out clauses to kick the Ka into the afterlife. They also ring a few bells to any tuned into an edited Pentateuch, but, hey, that's a whole different kettle of fish....... http://luxor-news.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/funerary-garden-almost-4000-years-old.html
