That article tries to cover quite a bit in a short space. I'm not a daytime TV watcher but on the odd occasion I'll put it on and did see that dreadful shouting man, Jeremy Kyle, saying it was quite right for people to grass on neighbours who might be defrauding the benefit system. Apparently that can be done anonymously!
He is so bloody out of touch with ordinary peoplen who try to stretch their money to pay their bills and put food on the table. He should have my job where I see hardship all the time, last week a young woman in her thirties, one parent family of one child, had asked her mum & dad to lend her twenty quid until payday because she had nothing - AND THEY REFUSED! She did manage in the end, her 14 year old son had a few pounds in his piggy bank which she borrowed - but she was so upset. It was an outrage.
If this government was fairer no-one would have to try to get money in an underhand way.
What sort of 'caring' or 'big' society has people who spy on eachother and report them if they suspect they get a few more quid? The real frauds go unnoticed and untouched, it's the ordinary people who suffer.
I couldn't care less & would turn a blind eye if someone earns a bit on the side, it's better than starving.
Disgusting.
