Jesus died for no other reason than he was a pain in the bottom as far as the religious leaders of the day were concerned, getting the Romans to do their dirty work for them. As have said before, supposing he did die to save others, if he was resurrected, his death doesn't compare with those who have died whilst trying to save other people and stayed dead!
Don't let your bias cover your ignorance.
Christ was innocent; no guilt and died for everyone not to go to hell.
