Mothers' Day
« on: September 04, 2018, 12:18:22 AM »
Anyone else watch this on BBC tonight? I thought it a very moving, thought provocing drama which was a genuine attejpt at portraying the gut-wrenching events at Warrington and the actions, both of the parents of Tim Parry, and of an ordinary Dublin Housewife. The BBC at its' best. Here's the iplayer link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bj7ldv/mothers-day
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
