Bonkers.
The Permian extinction happened. Life barely continued to exist at all. It may be that humanity's present actions
will cause the extinction of all life on earth. It is a strong possibility, even probability, but it has yet to happen. Therefore,
as yet the Permian extinction remains the greatest catastrophe for living things to occur on earth, and something that remains difficult for any theologian to give a convincing explanation for, as far as I'm concerned. If you think that stating something as bleeding obvious as this is bonkers, then your thinking is facile in the extreme.
