Living memory BBC Radio4
« on: June 12, 2019, 04:21:37 PM »
I had forgotten to listen this week on Radio 4 at 1:45 p.m. to these programmes. Tried to find them on google, gave up and rang the BBC who told me to put in 'Living memory BBC Radio 4' and then on the site, go to 'episodes'. This I did and have just finished listening to the continuous series, starting with the third one down which was Monday's. Very interesting - interviews with centenarians, including Britain's oldest man.

Has anybody else listened? What did you think?

Hi SD

Yes I've heard a few of these but don't listen anymore and ill tell you why ;
Even though they might have something interesting to say , by the time they've stuttered their way through it I've aged about 5 years waiting for them to make a point

No offence  ;)

:) Okay! But they're not trying to make points - I like the way the interviewer stayed in the background.

You say you have heard a few of these - are they not new programmes?

unless these are new ones , the last one I heard was sometime in March or April this year ,

But then the BBC are making lots of new repeats these days  ;D

The programmes in this series, which is  called Living Memory are being broadcast for the first time. It is concerned with the recollections of centenarians.

In Living Memory would appear to be a series of programmes exploring contemporary history which was broadcast a few years ago.

It may be that Walter is recalling the wrong programmes.
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?
