This sums up a lot of my feelings on the patronising guff the Lib Dems have come up with here.

Monumentally stupid, especially in light of the tweet that one of them put out on the first day of his breakfast Which was bacon and eggs

Carry on being idiootds, chaps - it's all good for Labour.

Well, I disagree with that as well, and have a lot of sympathy with TERFs, but it's got bugger-all to do with this thread, and no party is absolutely right about everything, not even Labour or the Greens. One supports the party that one thinks gets most right and least wrong, and for me that is either of the afore-mentioned. However, let's not start a TERF war, but get back to the thread's subject.

The point is that I see it as similarly stupid thinking. It',s the same basic idiocy and that the LDs have done this, is just them getting ahead with it

You were the one  who made the comparison with the Labour Party. If you didn't want people to criticise it, perhaps you shouldn't have done that.

That's actually different to "men claiming they are lesbians".

You trying to pick an argument for the hell of it, or what? I was criticising the Labour party myself, because I disagree with their stans on trans "women".

Personally, I don't mind if people want to fast during Ramadan - I fasted before I became a Muslim - I was hanging out with Muslims and thought I would give it a go - mostly because i kept being invited to break fast with them and there was lots of great food and I felt I should at least fast if they were nice enough to keep inviting me to break fast with them. It wasn't very difficult fasting. Once I became a Muslim, I found I could jog a couple of miles while fasting if I timed it for just before breaking fast so I could drink water afterwards. I find that feeling really cold is more of a problem when you can't eat or drink anything, rather than the hunger or thirst, so I really feel bad for homeless people who can't find a meal or a hot drink. I prefer fasting the long summer days to the short winter days because I get so cold fasting.

So I understand trying it out or showing solidarity. It would not induce me to vote Lib Dem, but it would be a shared topic of conversation for a few minutes if I came across someone who had tried fasting.
I identify as a Sword because I have abstract social constructs e.g. honour and patriotism. My preferred pronouns are "kill/ maim/ dismember"
