Fascinating story about the effects of brain damage

I found this story on the BBC website. I was very moved by it and, as always, amazed at what some people are able to cope with:

Before we work on Artificial Intelligence shouldn't we address the problem of natural stupidity.

Lovely and fascinating, and somehow the appropriateness of the song and lyrics adds to the poignancy

I have been living with my husband's brain damage since 2006, half his brain being trashed when the aneurysm burst. He finds simple things much more difficult than complicated ones. He can't remember his address, make a phone call, or send an e-mail, yet he can read and understand instructions and put things together, something at which I am hopeless. He does the most complicated of jigsaws, but the use of a tea towel defeats him! ::)
