Is he prepared then to stump up cash for annual covid boosters though?. Or will he be pursuing his penchant for austerity?
Already he sounds as though he doesn't understand that the virus doesn't read the policies or press releases.

Is there an indication that he wouldn't support cash for boosters?

I think it is the Treasury's role to stump up the cash for annual covid boosters.

But given the impact on the economy of covid I think it is very likely that annual covid boosters will become the norm, not just on health grounds but likely cost effective to prevent lock-downs.

I would hope that would not involve medical analysis and decisions made by people with skills other than bean counting.

Javid's tone sounds as though that sort of consideration hasn't quite sunk in. That is why I have questions since there is ample evidence of politicians who cannot actually factor in an actual virus which cannot be manipulated by the press or Tory ''Research groups''

I think you got confused by your negatives there. Either that or you are hoping that the bean counters do the medical analysis and make the decisions.

I think people generally have been unable to balance the cost of lockdowns against the cost of a worse pandemic. I count myself in that group.

I thought the costs of ''letting it rip'' were broadly understood?
