Very interesting article on the problem of housing in Australia. The nature of the country with vast swathes uninhabitable but with a tiny band of extremely comfortable living conditions in 'normal' climate conditions makes it very susceptible to certain pressures that extend globally. A quote from the article resonates strongly:
"It will be impossible to return the price of housing to something less destructive... without purging the idea that housing is a means to create wealth as opposed to simply a place to live"
