Sunak now joined Starmer in Flaggate but then they are just 'rent-a-gobs'

I see Peter Shilton is confused about the England flag

"and red white and blue are the colours that we have on our flag".

'Taxi driver Joe in Stirling said he had "steam" coming out of his ears: "People died for that flag thousands of years ago".'

I have to hope Joe was Steve Coogan phoning in.

Well people did die for that flag thousands of years ago, if by "thousands" you mean "about one thousand". It was a symbol used in the crusades. Lots of people died because of the crusades.

Starmer makes two points regarding the shirts - the flag design AND the exorbitant pricing - but I see that only one of them creates sufficient click-bait to be a headline.

Because nobody cares about the exorbitant price. Football shirts have been priced exorbitantly for many years.

Perhaps a more savvy politician might have chosen to ignore making a comment that would always have been led on?

Aren't all headlines by definition clickbait?
