Perhaps about two years ago, there was much in the news media about the Dutch prison system.

It seems that the Dutch place a lot of attention on the experience of being in prison. They ensure that prisoners receive appropriate counselling, general education and job training. The level of recidivism in the Netherlands is virtually zero wheras in the UK it varies somewhat with a recent average of about 25%.

Dutch prisons are not full.

Don't they imprison people for Facebook posts?  ;)
