Yes, in more junior jobs. i.e. not the best people. There has been a steady attrition of "the best people" since the Brexit vote.
Of course when you have only 120 MPs compared to over 400 you will have lost a lot of the 'best' people, although you will probably have lost plenty of useless ones too. But there are still a number of 'big hitters' in the parliamentary tory party, but Badenoch seems unable to convince them to serve under her, or is scared to include them. That's my point. Were she to have filled her shadow cabinet with exciting new talent that would be fair enough. But she hasn't, her shadow cabinet is, effectively just a Sunak front bench reshuffle. So she hasn't got rid of those associated with Sunak's government - nope she has actually promoted many of them.

The same, incidentally, happened to Labour. We got Ed Miliband instead of David Milliband because David was part of the "discredited" New Labour government.
But were aren't talking about the election of a new leader, but who that new leader chooses to include in their shadow cabinet. And I don't think that it is the case that Ed Miliband failed to bring in some big hitters from the previous administration - his first shadow cabinet included Harriet Harman, Yvette Cooper, Ed Balls, Alan Johnson and Andy Burnham to name a few. Sure, he didn't include his brother, but that isn't really the same as Badenoch not reaching out to Cleverly or Tugendhat.

When then got Jeremy Corbyn because Ed Miliband and all associated with him were considered to be losers.
True - but then Corbyn represented a massively different political direction and had not been near a front bench position throughout his very long parliamentary career, so unsurprising he brought in all the uber-left back benchers who would never have served under Blair, or Brown or Miliband and nor would they have been asked.

But Badenoch doesn't represent the huge shift from the previous tory administrations (she served on the front bench for Johnson, Truss and Sunak) that Corbyn represented from ... well ... anything.

Well  that didn't take long

The government has had to take some really difficult and unpopular decisions. I'm not surprised its poll rating has been dented.

How is it that the Tory party, which is full of racists and misogynists

I think this is why we have leaders like Trump, call relatively moderate people wolves, then when the wolf actually arrives no one is listening.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
