Actually, I thought it was probably better to be safe than sorry, so phoned a taxi and went to Lymington Hospital Small Injuries clinic where I was the only patient - well, it was still only about 8:20 a.m.! There is a dressing which is put on worse burns which contains some sort of Vaseline, but I didn't need the dressing, so she took it apart and smeared the ointment over the back of my hand, and said to use E45 all the time to keep it moist. So it was sensible to get it checked. Back home by 9:0!
