That wasn't my intention, though it would make a difference to listening to your negative comments about Christianity, and having it all your own way. Of course, it's just possible that you are afraid to say what you believe, because your beliefs are so open to negative interpretation. You can't have much confidence in what you believe, then.
Does none of that apply to Christianity? An awful lot of Christians seem to be incredibly hypersensitive even to the very mildest criticism of their beliefs. If according to you sensitivity to criticism entails shakiness of belief, well ...
P.S. As regards "having it all your own way" ... Christians have had that for a strikingly long time, no?
It seems to me your idea of "mild" criticism is very odd. In the main, the criticism on here is far from mild; and is often extremely offensive, and puerile.
I haven't had it all my own way, and have never run away from criticism of my beliefs: quite the opposite. I just wish more of it was constructive and not just vitriol and silly references to fairies and magic.
The "Vitriol" I reserve for the way in which Christians seem to cling to the belief that any other religion is wrong, blasphemous and beyond question.
But it isn't true. Pagan religions are pagan because the entities do not exist. But as for other religions being wrong or blasphemous it is something I have never heard about. Only one God after all.
When are Christians going to acknowledge that the oldest religious artifact yet discovered is of Pagan origin - the Venus of Willedorf, a small statuette 23,000 to 25,000 years old, that, by comparison Christianity is a Johnny-come-lately on the religious scene.
There we have it and now they think is 23,000 to 25,000
Estimated to have been carved 24,000–22,000 BCE,
Catherine McCoid and LeRoy McDermott hypothesise that the figurines may have been created as self-portraits [10] in spite of the fact that no facial features are depicted.
NOT a religious artifact...
The fact that my belief is pantheistic recognises that no-one, not even a deity can know everything about everything and reflects the real world of specialisation; deities who have particular talents to be called upon when needed, exactly as you would call upon a dentist or a doctor - you would not go to a doctor to get you teeth seen to.
Assumptions.. still require belief/faith.
My belief is that the deities are immanent, that the idea that a male can exist without a female, even in a deity, is ridiculous.
Which came first, the man, the woman or the baby.
Magic is NOT part of the Pagan belief. Magic, Witchraft, is a practice within the Pagan community, practiced by some and not by others, but using the forces of nature and the power of the trained mind to achieve a change in the physical world.
Like antibiotics achieve change in medical conditions within the body returning it back to normal. That is right... if magic worked we would not require a doctor would we. If you had an abscess on your appendix would you cast a spell or let the surgeon operate. Christianity allows for surgeons to do work their gift.
Your beliefs are your beliefs to which you are perfectly entitled, you are not, however, in my opinion, entitled to denigrate or dismiss as false my beliefs just because you do not agree with them, and I am entitled to my beliefs, I do not try in anyway to convert you to my belief, why do you conider it your right to try to convert me by the denigration of what I believe as "silly"?
Logically, speaking how could you stop someone believing in something they know to be unreal. If Christianity was such, then you would believe in that too. Your beliefs are no concern of ours but when you openly dismiss and insult people then you are in no position to make demands on others. Or demand respect when you have none yourself for others.
Incidentally - I do NOT believe in fairies! Some Pagans do, but I do not.
I don't believe in fairies but I do believe in Angels.
