The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

This made me giggle!

A vicar was invited to attend a party. He was dressed in his clerical shirt and collar.A little boy kept staring at him the entire evening. Finally, the vicar asked the little boy what he was staring at. The little boy pointed to the vicar’s neck.

When the Vicar finally realized what the boy was pointing at, he asked him, "Do you know why I am wearing that?"

The boy nodded his head yes, and replied, "It kills fleas and ticks for up to three months."

informan nuestra existencia Thank God, according to this weeks Economist mag, playboy no longer does full nudity in their mag.

What on earth is it about some people that makes them think there is something to be ashamed of in admiring an aesthetically pleasing nude model?.

Queen Victoria I can excuse, since she was not the brightest apple in the barrel ... but such an attitude in so-called educated and intelligent people is astonishing.

I have bought a foot warmer! Plug in, pop both feet into a furry double slipper and keep the circulation going well. Mainly for sitting at the computer.
Note to self: Remember to remove feet from warmer before attempting to walk away! :)

I have bought a foot warmer, so I can sit here at the computer and keep my feett cosy and warm!

I have just had a phone call from a lady not so far away who was given (with my permission of course) my name and e-mail address. She has llost her remaining focal vision so is going to arrange to come and spend some time here with me to see how I manage my life. She sounds a very positive kind of person, so we should get on well.

Thanks, I appreciate your sentiments Gonnagle; even if I don't share them. :)

The doctor has been and hopefully antibiotics will solve the problem, which I hasten to add they don't give unless they really believe they will help.

Anyway I am definitely going to our baby girl's party, and have even dolled myself up and put make up on, SHOCK HORROR. ;D It starts at 6-30pm as her kids have school tomorrow, so they can't be too late back from the restaurant.

Gonzo looks great in make up

I had some numbness in left side of face on Sunday, and again on Monday and spent 24 hours in Southampton hospital for detailed checks. Scan showed no new bleed, so it was a TIA, not a stroke.

The doctor is visiting my husband again later today. As I expected the antibiotics haven't cured his present problem, and I think he is in it for the long term, which is a pain for me as well as him, poor guy! :(
Floo,

Will pray he is soon on the mend. I know only too well how the well are drained by caring for the ailing.
But we love them and so do our best. Hope he is soon well.

I've just clicked on my favourites link to International Sceptics and it came up with '502 Bad Gateway'. Anyone know what that means?

today was the latest touch Tour in Southampton art Gallery and was one of the very best yet. The artist, Ben Johnson, spoke to us about his work, of which an exhibition has been taking place there. He spoke of himself but, although he is obviously, and justifiably, famous world-wide, there was not a trace of conceit. I've just had an e-mail from one of the other blind attendees (like me, she has some peripheral vision left) saying what an excellent talk it was.
