Nice bit of prose there, floo, had the intended effect on me. I felt a bit of a shiver go down my back. There was a film on TV last night, ITV, 'United 93', concerning a hijacked plane that was diverted by the passengers from crashing into the twin towers on 9/11; of course it did crash somewhere else and there were no survivors. The film was a tribute to the passengers. I saw quite a lot at the beginning and at the end of the film and it was very, very moving.
Jack - "... that's old age for you!!!" - on the contrary, your mosquito sounds as though it's extremely youthful!
We went to Whitstable last week, stayed for a couple of nights. It was extremely relaxing and very good for both of us. The hotel was lovely:

Still we had to get back for our cats, one of whom has end stage renal disease and was looked after by our vet. She was fine when we got home, quite perky and glad to go out in the garden. None of the four have left us alone since we've been back. My neighbour told me our big male cat, Thomas, whom he was feeding, was "Very polite"
