I am probably going to have to change my medication(Letrozole) because I'm having a (rare) side effect - some hair loss. I don't mind losing hair on upper lip :) and can cope if necessary with no eyebrows, which are already much thinner, but I draw the line at disappearing eye lashes, so next appointment brought forward from July to March.

A local pub has a sign saying "Six Nations Live Here". Bloody immigrants!

Hell's teeth, Paulo Rosae - apart from your lamentable sense-of-humour failure, having known me online for some years, and knowing my politics to be left of sensible, do you really think I would say "bloody immigrants" in all seriousness?

I think you flatter yourself if you think that we shoulde remember your posts, your political views, etc etc from day to day, let alone week by week. ,  There are probably some who can keep a mental file on that sort of thing, and I think that is commendable, but as I cannot ever check anything quickly
what I do is to respond to the current posts.

Still not funny, as people seem to have it in for immigrants these days.
And the joke is mocking them

If you say so! ::)
it works on the basis of implying that someone who is racist is dumb enough to think that an advert for the showing of the Six Nations Rugby in a pub when the match is on live, actually refers to 6 different nations living in the pub.

I don't get that either, but I know nothing about rugby or any other sort of sport, nor do I wish to, so save your breath to cool your porridge.
You don't need to know anything about rugby. The point is that since you have no clue what the joke is about then you are unable to say that it is offensive

Is there a new rule which says one cannot respond to posts addressed to others? that would be a pity.

By the way, I am using the proxy site most of the time. Do you know why it stays on line and the other one doesn't?

No, but given he was talking about the knowledge that LR of his posting and not commenting on the knowledge of anyone else, then comments from anyone else about their knowledge of him would be irrelevant.

As for the proxy site, to be honest, I'm not sure what the problem is that it avoids in this case because the problem that happens for you, and occasionallh me is intermittent.

Not only these days! I remember when I was at school the outcry about 'Asian' immigrants coming here first from Kenya and then from Idi Amin's Uganda.

It was pretty obvious the poster was joking though LR. No-one here would say,"Bloody immigrants", on here and mean it.

(I was of course serious when I called him a bloody idiot  ;). )

Society is far, far better now than the far right racism back in the 70s. Incredibly violent times.

Too right. If people were only able to put themselves in the position of a person uprooted from their home, some of their family, starting over in a foreign land.....

Well, it looks very much as if I have a pulmonary embolism! I might well have had it for several weeks!!! I was so dizzy yesterday when I got up that I had to call 111. I had to cancel tap dancing! Saw GP in the afternoon. She took blood test and I'll have result today. Fortunately, I feel well at the moment!

GP has phoned to say blood test results negative - so no pulmonary embolism!! Next thing will be exercise ECG.

NS and LR

Thank you for saing.

I saw GP at 6:05 (they work late on Fridays!) and fortunately it was the one who knows me best. Angina is almost certainly the right answer. I have prescription for spray to use if I experience the tightness across my upper chest. This should work immediately. If pain persists, then dial 999!

I shall be having an exercise ECG at Southampton during the next week or so, and GP said that they  will probably do other checks as well.

I feel very well otherwise, but on a serious note - if I don't visit this site or post something for too long, then an e-mail to this computer will be seen by my neighbour or my son who lives in Salisbury. I am assuming that you have my e-mail address NS?

I do not, however, expect this to be necessary for a good long while yet! :)
