It's nice that so many care LR & that includes your fellow R&E posters. Hope it gets better soon, must have been a bad fall.

Just woke up (yawn, didn't need to be for another hour but as I was awake I arose), and the above first sentence looks clumsy. I know what I meant at the time, that we all care.

Please keep us updated on your progress and also tell us how your husband is doing.

I slept slightly better last night, but I am still in a lot of pain. I suspect being the daft old bat I am I  overdid it yesterday. Our middle daughter is coming up on Monday for a few days to help us out, which is good of as she lives over 100 miles from us. My husband is doing the chores like washing up and preparing meals under my supervision, domesticity was never his thing.

He is still waiting to hear about the hospital appointments he is supposed to have, but appears to be in good health at present.

Typing with one finger is not easy and takes me ages.

It is pretty stressful, but compared to the things with which others have to cope, we aren't doing too badly.

The older one gets, the more important it is not to fall.

At tap this morning, there were 9 of us and then the teacher who used to run the class years ago and who pops in when she is not busy examining for the ISTD called in, put on tap shoes and was helping everyone with technique. It was such an enjoyable morning, especially getting a little further through the routine I know to the St Louis Blues, Glenn Miller. everyone's enjoying learning it.

I am so lucky to be able to move, even if I don't hop or spring with the same agility as in previousyears!

Thank you for posting that link - how did you find it?! :)
I watched it all the way through of course.
Unfortunately, even if I made a video of our version - which is actually on a more advanced dancing level! - I could not do so without asking the
choreographer and teacher from whom I learnt it at least 15 years ago.  I tried to contact her again recently, but found out that the place where I know she was teaching was pulled down a couple of years ago and a large block of flats is being built in its place.

I think, however, that I will soon be able to post a link to a video of me dancing the Intermediate 'warm-Up routine!! Watch this space!

GOD, I HATE laptops and mobile phones! They are useful, if not essential, nowadays, but I still hate them.
A few days ago, Google took it upon itself to lock me out of my account. I tried getting back with my email and password, but it kept telling me that they didn't match. Finally, it deigned to tell me that the email address I should put in is not the yahoo one I actually use, but the gmail one I never use. I tried with that, but got a message telling me that a lot of unusual activity had been detected on my account (me trying to get back with the wrong email, no doubt), and now they needed to send a verification code to my mobile, so I had to send them my mobile number (it doesn't occur to them, apparently, that a norty person trying to hack my account could simply send them their own mobile number). I didn't actually have a mobile, since I hardly ever use one, so today i had to go to Argos, buy a cheapo payg one, set it up (a small nightmare in itself - why the hell do sim cards come in three different sizes, ffs?), and have now finally got back in. I've got an acer chromebook, so unless I'm in to my Google account, I can't use it.

I went to the fracture clinic this afternoon. The staff exclaimed at my wonderful colourful bruises. I had more x rays, I don't need surgery thank goodness. I have to go back in about 6 weeks time. The doctor was very pleasant and we had a pleasant chat, I was his last clinic patient of the day. When he heard I came from Guernsey he got out his phone to show me photos of his recent holiday there. Our eldest girl is not amused, he asked us if we were sisters. He is the 11th person to ask that question over the years, I keep a tally.  ;D

My husband spent sometime in A&E last night, more problems with his catheter, which the district nurse was unable to sort out. :o

My husband was supposed to have an MRI scan on Wednesday to check out his pancreas, which might have a problem. However, he is unable to have an MRI due to the fact he has a metal clip in his brain, after the surgery he had in 2006 when the aneurysm burst. Metal and MRI scans don't go together. He will have to have a CT scan instead when it can be arranged.

What a plonker! Got up three hours early for work this morning. Had my breakfast and everything before I even realised.

You must enjoy your work if you are that eager to get on with it, ;D may one ask what it is you do?

I work in a warehouse receiving goods. I do generally enjoy my work but I had no intention of getting up that early. I usually set my alarm for 6:30 but I accidentally set it for 3:30.

:D :D Oh dear, I know it is not funny, but it's one of those things which is funny ... after the event!!

I've lost my mobile phone. I think it is, must be,  in the house somewhere. One of the taxidrivers suggested I  ring it. Unfortunately, I don't know its number, and in any case it is switched off!!

It is only a simple one which is pay-as-you-go and I think there's about £8 on it, but I do hate losing things. My neighbour has come in and looked around, but she can't see it. I only use it to phone for  a taxi when I need one when I'm out!

My brother did that once. Woke up in a panic thinking he had overslept. Got the entire family up, washed dressed and breakfasted. Had a go at his son for having to be told to get out of bed. Then he realised it was still only 4am.

When it comes to doing daft things I am way ahead of most people. ::) Only I would be stupid enough to walk up the bridle path at the back of our house when it was slippery after heavy rain. It was even more stupid as I had a fall last year causing tendon damage to my right arm. This latest fall causing a bad fracture of the upper right arm, which is going to take a considerable time to heal, is not only inconveniencing me but my busy children. :-[ Goodness knows when I will be able to drive again. :o Still I am getting good at using one arm, and don't need assistance to wash and dress etc. My problem is that I tend to overdo it. I guess it wasn't  really necessary to move furniture around yesterday!  ::)

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is it that so many men appear to find it difficult to put duvet covers on? We have just been changing the beds, and I have been trying to instruct my husband in this art, something he has never mastered in all our years of marriage. It has always been my task but that is impossible at the moment due to my broken arm. We did it in the end, I am exhausted! ::)

When you say men is this just a lazy sexist assumption based on your experience with one man, your husband, or do you have many men you put duvet covers on with?
