The cast iron proofs you ask for do not exist in the context you demand. All I can do is open the door a touch to allow you to accept the possibility that God could exist.
Possibility doesn't even enter into it. The possibility of what is it am I being asked to entertain? Nobody can admit the possibility of X unless they have at least
some idea, however minimal, of what X is supposed to be.
Then if you can bring yourself to take a step of faith through this chink of light you will discover God as He really is.
I don't do faith.
And why do you think that you've got a handle on God "as he really is"? Do you not think that that comes across as ... well, rather presumptuous, arrogant even?
In any case all theisms say that, Alan. I call it the "I'm Spartacus" school of theism - "I know God as he really is" - "No, I do!" - "No you don't, I do!" And so on.
