I'd sooner not HobNob with the likes of you, thank you.
Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

AB

Fairly recently well I think it was, I put in a post about prayer. I'm rattling about a bit this afternoon, so I think I'll post it again and see if you, AB, have a response:

When you say a prayer, I presume you think  there is a God which hears it; said God then decides what to do about the prayer, or, as is the case as far as I'm concerned, said God does absolutely nothing; the prayer is then supposed to affect the person or persons about whom it was prayed; how do you think/suggest/work out how this happens?

Clearly what we are seeing is that life without faith is just a rice cake. I'm sure that to some it might even be as satisfying as a rich tea, but he truth is that in settling for a digestive they are really running away from the fullness of experiencing the garibaldi. And failure to admit quality baked goods into one's life will only lead to permanent exclusion from what is the birthright of each and every one of us - an eternity spent with fountains of Green and Blacks.

Twixie surely?

In my marathon exchanges with him he’s tried allsorts of evasions but after eight times of asking the same question I’ve given up. Every time I think he’s about to answer he just twirls away with more flakey thinking – wispa it not but I really don’t think he has any arguments at all.

What mars his thinking I think is the galaxy of straw men he puts up when his position is undone – it’s no picnic trying to engage with that, especially when there’s nothing crunchie to respond to. Be nice if he’d just rolo-ver and concede the hopelessness of his raisoning – what a treet that would be! - but all I could do in response was snicker.

Eventually though I had to breakaway – the endless fudging was kinder boring so I’ve taken a time out.

Well Floo and Gordon, since your mocking people here, I'll tell ya this.

I would never belong to a club who has as club members, a lady who writes prayer poems and then goes around telling Christians how evil their God is, or a person that protects that kinda fraud from being challenged on her hypocrisy.

Oh wait a second, this place here is as close to being a club without actually being one.

We need to start up a band something fierce!

Well not if you continue to write posts about not wanting to be a fellow club member with dear Vlad.

It was a play on words, which I'm sure Vlad realised - in the UK there is a biscuit called Club.
