The bible tells us that we are made in God's image.  Which I would assume infers that God has given us the power to interact, rather than just react with the events in this universe.

Of course we interact with events - makes no difference to the logic, though.

Look - we have to decide things somehow and if it's a free choice it should be determined by who we are as individuals. There simply aren't any another other inputs to the process of making us than our initial state and subsequent experience.

Of course our subsequent experience is also determined by our previous decisions (interaction) but that is a detail - because however far we go back this god would have controlled everything up to that point and hence our decisions at every stage.

This is just logic - you can't just magic a decision into existence from nothing (unless there is a source of true randomness involved, in which case it certainly isn't our individual will).

Faith is the most precious gift that anyone can possess.
What a dismal and circumscribed view of life.

The love of family and friends (both ways) seems the greatest gift in life to me, but whatever roasts your spuds I guess ::)

Cartoon man,
Yes and the wonderful thing is that we are noted by the richter scale. You, well there is nothing, nothing worth reporting nor seeing.

and the next line is:

"I thank the Lord that I possess more than my share of happiness"

So, you seem to be in disagreement with yourself then. Which is it, faith or happiness? After all, I can have happiness without faith and I can have faith without happiness. ;)

Faith is the most precious gift that anyone can possess.

Not according to your Bible. I'm surprised you are not familiar with this one:

Quote
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Possibly because that paragon of consistency, the New Testament, elsewhere praises those as blessed who believe without seeing.

So all those Popes who supported killing people in that case, that was the Satan in charge of the RC church.

They can't discover God's love - the greatest and most perfect love of all.

Most people seem to do not just fine but exceptionally well without any such thing (which is, needless to say, pure assertion of belief on your part). Love of real people, real things suits me perfectly well.

so unable, not choosing not to? Which given the powers you inconsistently attribute to your God means, it is his choice nothing to do with your invalidated free willl idea.  It's a pity that you appear to be unable to express your position logically consistenly.
