.

I'm not sure how you can expect to understand if you refuse to read the Holy Bible. Almighty God claims exclusive ownership of the static dimension which has a history prior to the big-bang and this secondary dimension...the expanding dimension we live in rides through and over that static dimension and if we pray as Jesus taught us we will gain a prayerful access into that dimension which delivers a peaceful, tranquil and wonderful feeling of well being because we have taken a positive step towards righteousness.
Where have I mentioned refusing to read the bible?

Get your facts straight and accurate Nick otherwise you come across as an arrogant fool.

Regardless of all of that, why is it so difficult for  you to find a way to describe what this means

"
separated from that high-speed motion, then the stars will all appear to be coming towards us..."

...without recourse to some vague, hand-wavey interpretation of some text?

A good teacher would be able to find a way to teach their pupils by alternate explanation, maybe using analogy.
 or some other method.
Are you a good teacher Nick?

Respectfully, Seb.

Seb, he might be referring to that galaxy that's said to be heading for us, I think it might be Alpha Centauri, I may have got the name wrong but it is a galaxy that is equally as well known as that one.

Or equally a galaxy far, far away.
You never know.

It is called Andromeda, not due to collide for another 4 billion years!
Nick's event is (pick any one or more from the following) due;

Soon
Imminently
Just round the corner
Near

Seb, Anchorman, ippy, Stranger...

The principle about taking in Biblical study is that you train your minds to be acceptable for the righteous science that will save you by clearing out the journals of your brain so that hormones, cerebrospinal fluid, blood, oxygen, and other nutrients don't jam up and make you an awkward and difficult person...not just in your thinking but in your breathing, in your mobility, in your agility, and in your acuteness of mind. Almighty God will not beg you to participate, He relies on others who have seen the light to try and help you...failure will not injure anyone but yourselves...and Revelation is catching up with us, no matter how much we disbelieve in its coming...We will all have to face the same dilemma but those who have righteously prepared will be able to absorb the shocks and the traumas much better...That's what cerebrospinal fluid does, it is a shock absorber in the places we need it most...being...the brain, the heart, the joints, the lungs, the spine, the muscles and many other places that your righteous misbehaviour has snatched it away from...It's all in the Holy Bible.

Strange, that.
When I studied thjeology, the principles of Biblical study were
Linguistics,
Historicity;
Developmental concepts of the nature of God;
YHWH in the New Testament,
Pauline Theophanies and Christology;
Apocalyptic literature,
Extra-canonical and deuterocanonical works,
and a look at Gnosticism.
Which college or university did YOU attend, and which course?

How much knowledge of the bible do you think is necessary to have before it would dawn on the average person something like, 'hang on there's something not quiet right about this lot', especially the magical, mystical and superstition based parts thereof.

I suspect not that much knowledge would be needed, but hey N M's found a soulmate, you never know they might even be able to understand each other's posts?

ippy.
You wouldn't need much knowledge of the Bible to realise that Nick is talking gibberish. However, you would need some knowledge of the Bible to realise that Nicky boy is not "using the Bible to prove the Bible". You claimed that he was. He is not.

More drivel. You don't know anything about science - that's obvious from everything you've ever said about it. Your latest laughable blunder is thinking the tacky science-fiction phrase "another dimension" is anything to do with real science.

Just for you Stranger...and you Seb, and Anchorman, and Dicky...

It's quite simple for the Bible student...You see...in Isaiah we are told of a wonderful, superabundant energy that fashions and shapes all science. It built all the stars and therefore by default built all the atoms as well. We can logically track this energy into all things as long as we show proper respect for its owner ...our Deity...Almighty God, Yhwh/Jehovah, and Yahshua/Jesus Christ.  When we analyse this energy through the eyes of our Deity we find that it should be found in all life but the human being has a life-style that wastes it profusely but its powers are so great that it can repair us if we follow our Deity instead of those who know nothing about the true nature of the universe. Just as we influence our own genetics to spawn cancer we can influence them to repair it, but we will need a science far higher than evolution because the science that causes evolution will be needed to countermand it.

You don't seem to even understand what the word 'science' means. It's a human activity, a way of studying the world. Apart from that (and the fact that nobody else thinks Isaiah said this), why should I take this 'energy' seriously?

It built all the stars and therefore by default built all the atoms as well. We can logically track this energy into all things as long as we show proper respect for its owner ...our Deity...Almighty God, Yhwh/Jehovah, and Yahshua/Jesus Christ.

Logic is singularly lacking in your endless nonsensical assertions.

More gibberish. Have you worked out what you mean by 'dimension' yet?

...explanation?

You might have asked...

Why is this important??
Where is it in the Holy Bible??
How can it help us??

But I'll tell you anyway...

It is referred to in a number of places but specifically in Revelation.
It tells us of a state of the universe that brings an unknown dimension of that universe alive.
It illustrates the sheer weight of the great tribulations upon us all.
It illustrates the deep and wonderful knowledge being expressed from within the Holy Bible.
It is a catalyst from where the Unification of the Fundamental Forces can be gleaned.
It tells us that we have been surrounded by a wonderful and known science from the days before science began.

So why haven't you got a Nobel Prize? Where is the mathematics? You can't do this without mathematics. You need to unify general relativity - the mathematics of curved space-time - with the mathematics of quantum field theory and the standard model.

No, old son;
Bible students, whether studying in a specific college, or university faculty, are helped to find out the origin of various books and how they became part of the corpus known as the Bible.
They should have a basic knowledge of the three languages which make up that corpus.
They should then be able, if they are studying the NT, to know the settings and history which enabled the books to be written.
Following this, an examination of various theologcal stances, including, if you are in a competant university, secular, artheist and other religious thoughts on the Bible.
This is part, and only part, of what a Bible student should know.
Where did you study the Scriptures or are you self taught?

When you are working for the highest authority in the universe you follow their code of behaviour and do what they want you to do knowing that it will all be loving, caring, beneficial, and lead to a wonderful goal...for those who share those same values, at least. Smashing, weighing, naming and measuring particle shrapnel isn't my idea of fun. I know that it will all equate to a massless energy that will dissipate to its purest form when it is dislodged from the mechanics that holds it together...but, at least, the Hadron particle collider has one positive use...it explains how a more natural and much bigger, and more Godly collider smashed up two galaxy clouds of God's Living Waters and sent shockwaves outward and spinning up all the other galaxy clouds, of which there were millions, sending them into powerful storms which spawned the galaxies...but you have to read the Holy Bible to get the full gist of it.

The one thing you seem to have omitted from your course is the Holy Spirit...The power of Jesus Christ/Yahshua and the wonderful nature of righteousness which we can wrap up into one binder called ...The Word...made flesh by our saviour, and the specific instructions he left behind about the meek, the poor, the oppressed, the dispossessed,  and the disadvantaged...you see... the correct use of the aforementioned powers would eliminate many of the worlds problems but as it is Almighty God is going to have to intercede and do it for us.  It will be a terrible time but at least He has given us hard evidence on how we can be saved.

If you've had a shuftie at other threads on this board, you'll see I tend toward the Charismatic movement, and will never ignore God The Holy Spirit, His teaching, leading, prompting and the gifts He gives in order to produce the gruits.
Note I said 'He' - since Jesus Himself - God Incarnate - always referred to Him as such.

And you think lying about science is what this "authority" wants you to do, is it?

I didn't say anything about experiments. You said you knew how to unify the forces. That means a theory, which means (in this case) mathematics, the experiments will come later to confirm your amazing insight.

The first thing you must learn about charismatics is, in no way do they identify with righteousness or with the accurate teaching of Jesus Christ. The thing all these people have in common is that they are at the core of a mass audience and that radiance you see coming from them is the strength of the audiences attention upon them....carefully engineered I might add. That energy that they have lured from others is the same energy that should be working within us, satisfying the demands of our own replicating cells but by giving it to others we are doing exactly what Jesus told us not to do. We must upbuild our own healthy electric system and lead those who want to waste it away from that destructive behaviour. Many of the nastiest people who ever lived were charismatics and look where they led us.

You keep shooting yourself in the foot Stranger...Everyone knows that these guys are looking intently at the death spark of atomic particles as they disappear recording that death cry on their monitors which tells them only that what was there, is there no longer...but the important thing is that it isn't far away, it has just become an invisible cloud of massless energy, which will drift around until one day it merges into star energy.

Well...let's start with this little gem...That the speed of the the collision force within God's (Hadron) Collider was, I think you've already guessed...186000 mps...and that is why 'C' is so prominent in all atomic equations...and it is proof positive that the kicking force of the higgs field is related to that calculation.

I'm only bothering to tell you because it helps me to organise my own thoughts a little better and a little stronger...One day you will thank me.
