”People who actually are atheists” That isn’t an “exclusive” statement Nearly Sane?
By questioning whether those who have other definitions are “actually atheist” he is being exclusive.
Except that's a complete misrepresenation of what he said.

Can you provide a list of atheist phrases?
A good starting point is the Internet encyclopaedia of philosophy which tells you which atheists came up or proposed which definitions and descriptions of atheism.

As you just ignored it last time, once again the very first line of that article reads as follows:

The term “atheist” describes a person who does not believe that God or a divine being exists”.

If ever you manage to find an atheist who goes beyond that into “gods don’t exist” by all means take it up with him/her, but on this mb you’re just tilting at windmills. It’s equivalent to me critiquing your belief that god has a big beard and sits on a fluffy cloud.

What word would you prefer to be used Walt for people who don't believe in God or gods? Suggest a word and I'll use that instead to keep you happy. Endless arguments about the definition of atheism is so boring and so pointless

It's atheists that have a problem with how some atheists define
atheism as exemplified by Professor Davey's Post.

Bullshit. Do you have a problem with how some Christians define themselves?

Why not?

No, you disagree about the way people on here are using the word atheist so suggest another word we can all use to describe people who don't believe in God or gods and we can move on from the pointless and boring argument.

"Atheist" is fine for me. After all, the Internet Encyclopaedia of Philosophy he's in thrall to tells us “The term “atheist” describes a person who does not believe that God or a divine being exists”, and I have no quibble with that.

It's okay for me too but I'm making a desperate attempt to end the pointless and boring argument about the word. If people want to carry on with that, fine. I'll just give up.

Which is fair enough. He’s doing the equivalent of me telling him that, as a Christian, he has a "problem" because of what the Klu Klux Klan believe. I have no idea what he gets from such idiocy but there it is nonetheless.

Because it includes more people, as opposed to the No True Scotsman fallacy which is exclusionary. How does atheism being the lack of beluef in gods shut down debate?

It shuts down debate because Vlad doesn't have an argument that works against it. His debate is shut down.

How do you verify that someone actually lacks belief in God. With stones and Atoms it's probably more certain.

You could also ask how do you verify that someone actually has had a visit, meeting, with their god ?

This is a stupid question even by your standards. How do you verify that somebody believes in a God or gods? How do you verify that somebody lacks a belief in fairies or leprechauns?

You could try asking them.  Not difficult
