Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

The bottom one is my mental image of Vlad.

As the second and third never has a Jesus Christ a promised Messiah it seems little thought about reality of those faiths were noted, understood or taken into consideration.

What amazes me most is anyone with any intellect would subscribe to such a point of view....

Is it really coming down to such childish outlooks?
We know we have to work together to abolish war and terrorism to create a compassionate  world in which Justice and peace prevail. Love ;D   Einstein

I've just realised this can be taken in one of two ways.  Buy the "bottom one" I mean the bottom cartoon strip, not the bottom book in the first cartoon strip.

If Mr Tickle tickled a policeman these days, he’d either be tazed or shot.

Have a read of the Wikipedia article on him [contains spoilers].  The plot line of the book makes for very uncomfortable reading in the light of the Savile/Harris/Hall affairs.

I found the baseball one very funny indeed, and quite accurate - you do see theists arguing in such a way; and more importantly it made me laugh.

The Mr Tickle one didn't work for me. I think for the most part theists believe in their 'book' because of their religion, not the other way round.

That's not inherently true; it just increases your chances of it.
