George Osborne claims the conservatives are the party of the working class.

Yes.......just not the British Working Class.

Vlad, I'd suggest that the Tories, Labour - in fact just about all the UK political parties - are parties for the working class.  What we don't have is a party for the unemployed class.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

Wrong, they don't give a toss about the people because our government works for the City of London Corporation, as do the EU and the Whitehouse, but don't be fooled by the name it is a global, transnational corporation that is planning to control us all through TTIP.

Not sure that the EU and the White House work for the City of London Corporation, let alone the British Government, Jack.

It's perhaps worth reminding yourself that it is the Americans who are so determined to keep the TTIP details secret - until wikileaks manages to send them out (had an email that was half expecting from a friend today, and it turned out to be something entitled the

Not sure? Who do you think is running the world. What do you think Neo-Liberalism is? What do you think TIPP and TPP are all about? If you are not aware of the true forces that govern this planet then you we be forever tilting at windmills and getting nowhere. It is the banks and corporations who are pulling the strings of the puppets of the world's powers and governments. Though it is called the City of London Corporation it is in fact a global endeavour for the world's elites, who also have centres like Wall Street to their name.

No the EU wants it secret as well, as I have mentioned perhaps here and else where on this forum.

I can be pretty certain that the City of London Corporation isn't running the world.  Unless you think that Boris Johnson is heading up a huge international network, in tandem with the varied citizens of the City of London.

Now, that I would agree with to some degree - but I'd also include the unions - think of the French Government's attitude to them - and even the world of science and technology, to a degree.

The City of London Corporation certainly exists, but it is "officially and legally the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London, aka the municipal governing body of the City of London, the historic centre of London and the location of much of the UK's financial sector".  Remember that
a lot of the world's banking and corporate power is in places other than London.  In fact, London's role and influence in that area of life is diminishing by the year.  Now, if you had said that the CoLC was 'pulling the strings of the puppets of the UK's powers and governments', I would probably agree with you.

If anywhere, TTIP is an American idea - and, as I said before, it is the Americans who seem determined to stop the details of TTIP being publicised.  If you look around, you will find that there are a number of TTIP-type arrangements around the world.  If even more carefully and you will notice that the common denominator within these arrangments is the US.

I'm not so sure, unless you belief that 'The Economist', 'The New Statesman' and various other such publications that I've seen articles on the TTIP in, are 'conspiracy theorists'.

Not agreeing with TTIP does not mean that anyone who discloses any details of it will jailed for 30 years or that it is secret and yet people know that it will have some effect that they declare as you have. I disagree with it but the ideas above touted by JK and You are conspiracy theory tosh that undermines any serious opposition to it by making those of us who do look like ranting adolescents wibbling on about the Illuminati while dressed as a character from Game of Thrones.

If so why is the EU allowing this? One of the points of the EU was to challenge US dominance not kowtow to it.

TTIP is the conspiracy theorists' new 'quantum'.
So you have a draft of the TTIP document which you can freely show the world? If so let the world know about it. Otherwise stop this stupid talk!!!

Well you seem to know what it does, so how would that work, if you don't know what it says?

There have been leaks of some parts. Responded to by increasing security, and making it harder to find details and current status. Eg. As reported here:

Nah! The truth is no one offered a choice the British working class wanted.
We need a new Party with the right policies.
One who puts tougher laws on refugees entering the country and cuts MP's spending with no tax relief for second homes... ;D
We know we have to work together to abolish war and terrorism to create a compassionate  world in which Justice and peace prevail. Love ;D   Einstein

There have been similar trade agreements in the past and there was a summary or overview of its general agenda some years back. What I'm going on about are the present drafts and the clauses therein. The devil is always in the detail!!!

Also, as I have said a few times before, Molly Scott Cato (MEP) has been allowed round the proceedings and all she is allowed to say is that it is undemocratic. Why don't you send a her an email and ask her?
