This bit makes me feel uncomfortable :- The Jowis and their errour are confoundit.

Dunbar lived in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, so the sentiment is mild for the time. You can't judge someone from 500 years ago by modern sensibilities.

I know, same applies to Shakespeare and Dickens; I don't judge but can't help feeling uncomfortable.
