The tragic but inspiring story of Alan Chambers:

Religion, as a now sadly deceased gentleman used to say, poisons everything.

Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

An interesting read, and of course 'God' raises its ugly head again in relation to homophobia.

Neither is this one of those 'only in America' stories, since we see this even here in the UK where the CofE had to be ring-fenced from SSM legislation in order to protect it from the imagined threat posed by removing antiquated discrimination and encouraging equality.

One day I hope to see the church praying for repentance as it did over slavery.

A very touching story. Belief in "God" can often destroy people.

This guy is clearly 'happy', but only because he has never known the perfect happiness that includes sexual love too.

You have evidence to show that he doesn't enjoy that with his wife?   ;)

Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?
