Fundraising Preference System
« on: October 01, 2015, 05:38:57 PM »
One of the recommendations made in the recently published review of self-regulation of fundraising by Sir Stuart Etherington is for a ‘fundraising preference service’ to be established.

Do you think this is a good idea?  What is your experience of the TPS and MPS systems?

How would you expect it to work, if one was introduced?  Would it be a blanket stop on anything that you, as a member of the public, didn't specifically opt-into?  Would it be a system for which you had to opt out of receiving from certain types of or named charities?

Any other thoughts?
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?
