I'm not sure that God really looks like anything, that is if we're talking about essence. God just is. However, using the imagery of scripture God's presence is often associated with fire and light.

In the OT, there were visible manifestations of God but his face was concealed.

You may ask what is it that leaves our body after what we call DEATH ???

Something was there before & that's the thing that 'allows' to use this body IN this world.

WELL... you know when you're alive as you're moving about & are 'conscious' of yourself & your surroundings. Then, at some point, whatever that is-was is suddenly not there, for whatever reason & nobody can seem to 'bring you back'.
I think a god would be a creature of THOSE qualities.

For as long as I can remember I have had this 'memory', which can only have been a weird dream. I was in heaven with the deity and the angels, apparently being one of them. ;D The deity, who appeared as bright white light, informed me that it was my turn to do my bit on earth. I didn't wish to leave my comfy, billet but arrived down here anyway!
Clearly a dream, yes.  Real angels are always desperate for anything to relieve the boredom.

Probably just colic.  You can't have had the dream then.

What do believers think the deity looks like?
Nothing looks like anything in heaven.  Nobody has any eyes.  You don't bump into other angels because you just walk straight through them.

Apparently I was allergic to the milk I was given. My parents had a have a herd of goats, as goat's milk did the business, until I grew out of the allergy.

Next time there is a severe drought somewhere, Spud, remind me to ask you why God didn't re-distribute the 'free water' to the affected area.

God uses hardship to humble people. This was the case with Joseph's brothers- when a famine made them to go to Egypt for food, they were forced to admit that they were wrong to sell Joseph as a slave. (They said to one another, "Surely we are being punished because of our brother. We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen; that's why this distress has come on us." Genesis 42:21)

What an evil b*stard the deity is, if it exists and does the things attributed to it! >:(

No decent deity would behave in the way the deity is supposed to behave. It has all the worst of human attributes, but that is hardly surprising as it is more than likely a very human creation.

I saw this article

Quote

The Bible describes God appearing to people on various occasions. These instances should not be understood as describing exactly what God looks like, but rather as God revealing Himself to us in a way that we can understand. What God looks like is beyond our capability of understanding and describing. God gives glimpses of what He looks like to teach us truths about Himself, not necessarily so that we can have an image of Him in our minds. Two passages that powerfully describe God’s amazing appearance are Ezekiel 1:26-28 and Revelation 1:14-16.

Ezekiel 1:26-28 declares, “Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.” Revelation 1:14-16 proclaims, “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”

These passages represent Ezekiel’s and John’s best attempts at describing the appearance of God. They had to use symbolic language to describe that for which human language has no words; i.e., “what appeared like,” “like the appearance,” “he looked like,” etc. We do know that when we are in heaven, “we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:3). Sin will be no more, and we will be able to perceive God in all His glory.
