Very eerie in centre of Glasgow with lockdown and a heavy fog.

Beautiful day: not a cloud in the sky, not a breath of wind, bright sunshine, absolutely freezing. There was a severe frost overnight, and the grass in the front garden is still frozen. Since the sun has already moved off it (the front garden faces North-East, so is in shadow by late morning), I think it'll stay frozen all day.

Lovely sunshine but it is not yet warm enough to clear all the snow, which fell yesterday.

Oddly for such a southerly country, Spain (the interior at any rate, away from the moderating influence of the sea) can have exceptionally bitter winters. I read a book about British volunteers in the civil war a few years ago, and the description of their sufferings in the depths of winter made me want to put another jumper on.

We have just seen this item on the news and were surprised that a country, we always regarded as warm, had so much snow.

No doubt the climate change deniers will have a field day! ::)

It is much warmer today and the snow is clearing. I needed to unzip my jacket when I went for my early morning walk.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

The Spanish mainland - while not being particularly large - is still large enough to demonstrate the principles of continental climate effects.

The temperatures are higher, but there is a brisk wind, which makes it feel quite chilly.

It was quite odd when I woke up in the middle of the night to here the strong winds. It's been so calm over the last couple of weeks

A miserable day, heavy rain but not too cold. I feel sorry for our Vicar daughter, she has a burial this afternoon, I suggested she wore a wet suit!

It is mild but raining heavily. I am so glad we don't live close to a river as we did at our previous property.

Wet and 'orrible. It was very windy last night, no doubt thanks to Storm Christoph, and is fairly windy now.

We had snow overnight, but most of it has now melted, it is very sunny but windy.

We had a smattering of snow last night, which settled, however the pleasant sunshine we have this morning had melted it all. :)

We had a sprinkling of snow overnight, but that has gone as we now have pleasant sunshine.

Wet 'n' 'orrible. Disappointing - I hoped yesterday's lovely weather would be the start of a pleasant spell.
