We haven't got a frost today, unlike yesterday, but the wind chill makes it feel well below zero.

Started out cold but dry, but was raining from about mid-day. However, after the rain started it wasn't quite as cold. I went for a bike ride to Hertford - 42.13 miles. My total mileage for 2018 so far is 1567 miles; hopefully I can knock of the last 33 miles to take it to 1600 before the end of the year.

You are doing brilliantly for one so very old. :P ::)

I don't get on well with bikes since my arthritis began to bite when I was in my 30s. :( In the 80s when we lived in Cambridgeshire I decided to have a spin on my middle daughter's bike around the riverside park just by our house. I managed to fall off it in front of her and her school friends, much to her consternation!  Her friends rushed to my assistance, whilst she tried to pretend I wasn't her embarrassment of a mother. ;D I haven't ridden a bike since.

Getting back to the subject of this thread, it is sunny today, a bit warmer than yesterday, and no wind.

Another lovely day, mild temperature and sunshine. Light breeze. I bet it pisses down on Saturday, when I want to go for another bike ride.

It is the shortest day of the year today, and miserable weather too. It is raining and the visibility is very poor.

We hardly have the heating on at the moment, it's so mild.  14 today I think.  Oh dear, not good for some plants which need a cold snap.

It is only 5C here in our part of North Wales.

It started snowing at about 10.45am and is sticking. This wasn't supposed to happen according to the on-line weather forecast for our postcode!

It is much warmer today, about 5C, positively tropical compared with yesterday, but very gloomy.

We have a winter wonderland this morning. I hope it doesn't last too long. Apparently all the schools in our county are closed.

I can't believe how warm it has been today, especially as there was a frost first thing. I heard a place in West Wales had a temperature of 20.3C, which is a record for February. A year ago we were shivering as we had snow, courtesy of the 'beast from the east'.

A monsoon? Really?

There is not much wind in the Midlands, where I live - and that's not all that far from north Wales.

The rain gauge showed about 2 inches of rain. Your weather is often not the same as ours in North Wales, as I know for a fact, one of our daughters lives down in the Midlands. Besides which, another of our daughters lives only six miles from us, her weather can be very different to ours too.
