Well, I do hope you remembered that the clocks went forward  not bak!
Weather very pleasant here, but instead of marching off to do my three miles, I justwalked a hundred yards back and forth several times. I shall be a bit circumspect until I know more about the state of my heart.

Why did I write back,? I'm familiar with the spring forward and fall back saying? must have got light headed with all of that southern fresh air while I was out in the Garden, it was 15 degrees here in deepest Essex yesterday.

Come to think of it nowadays when we buy our clocks mostly battery driven why don't the manufacturers make all of them radio controlled, all you need do is put the battery in place and away they go they only give the wrong time when the battery runs out, at the moment it only adds about £2 or £3 quid extra per clock to have them radio controlled, it's a no brainer in my book, it's not like you buy a new clock every week.

Yes, we get so used to computers automatically putting the time forward or back, and of course Alexa works off that too, so the only things that need changing are the large kitchen clock and the gas boiler thing. My neighbour usually does that for me.

It has been continuous drizzly rain all day here, so I've been stuck indoors. Trying to cope with walking in the rain is too complicated.

On another forum on which I post, some posters in the south of England are saying they are having snow showers at present.

Bright sunshine and dry, 10 degrees here in deepest Essex, we're in the sauff.

We awoke to a winter wonderland. It is clearing now, thank goodness.

My bro from Brisbane is over here and he phoned me from Huddersfield and it looks like he's in a similar climate to yourself LR, it's not that much better here, webbed feet and all that, I've loads I want to do outside, blasted rain.

We have been in Bath for a few days, raining every night, so footpaths are almost impossible to walk, thick mud everywhere.  I slid down one of them arse over tip, ah well, all good fun.

I'm currently in North West Scotland: in the Torridon area to be precise (with the grandkids), and it is brisk but beautiful here with blue skies.

We were swimming in the sea this morning (in wetsuits!) at Little Gruinard beach.

I checked a weather app on my iPad yesterday. The temperature was given for the Vale of Evesham as 10 degrees. It showed the same value for the Channel Islands and for the village in SW France where my second home is situated. I'm going there for a few days next week ...

My wife frequently told me that I was a SAD person (Seasonal Affective Disorder I hasten to add). This winter seems unending and I really do feel depressed about it. Is it my imagination or are all the usual signs of Spring several weeks later than usual this year?

The signs of spring are there but the weather isn’t matching it. Yesterday evening was lovely but today has been cold, and now there’s a fog so thick I can’t see the fields behind my garden. It’s the kind of chill that sets right in. I’ve heard next week is warmer though. I’m hoping to get out and dig.

It was damp and misty all day yesterday, and it still is. It's more like November than April. It's been a crap Spring so far this year - Facebook reminded me a few days ago that a year ago I posted photos of my first open apple-blossom; this year, the buds are only just starting to break, and it'll be weeks before we get any blossom. I hope it's warmer by Saturday - I want to go for another bike ride.

Beautiful here (on the shores of Loch Ewe) - bright sun, blue skies, stupendous views and no cloud - it's even starting to get a bit warmer now compared with when I got up this morning.

Pleasant temps here but some rain. Typical April in many ways but not heavy rain. I like it how it is at present, not everyone would. People we employ (a couple +1) to clean & garden are in Australiafor roughly three weeks where the weather is v.good, not excessively hot. They went for three weeks, bfore Easter, visiting sister. I hope they are OK, one of them was not well before travelling. They will skype us over weekend & then I'll know, can't get them out of my head.

The trees in many places are not green. There is very little blossom of any kind. There is no oil seed rape flowering in the fields - and, most telling of all - no sign of Jersey Royal potatoes.

Blackthorn is out, don’t expect to see hawthorn til the end of May. Irritatingly uniform clumps of daffs are all over the place. Winter cereals mostly here. I’ve seen bees and butterflies.

Probably just as well that the fruit blossom isn’t out though as it could get frosted.

Still horribly cold though. And grey. Meh.

Therte is a well-known weather oddity in this country, which I don't think anyone has an explanation for (though I stand to be corrected), which is that there's nearly always a cold snap in the second week of April. Well, we're coming to the end of this year's.
