Haven't had anything like this for years, used to be a regular occurrence when they were small. Am hoping I don't get it too but given the times I've had to clean the bathroom I'm not hopeful. But my eldest is better so she will be able to make drinks etc if need be.

What a beautiful place you live in! The Cotswolds are wonderful.

We have got - access to the Cotswolds, the GWR is now extended to Broadway. The best (easily) cinema in the Midlands (possibly the whole country), riverside walks, access to the Heart of England Forest.  The towns of Evesham, Stratford, Pershore and shopping at Cheltenham and Worcester.

And when I save up my pennies I can go to the big city and see and hear the CBSO and Mirga in one of the best concert halls in Europe.

It has been warmer today, although it is quite cloudy we are not supposed to have any rain until tomorrow, fingers crossed.

It started raining about 30 minutes ago, although it was supposed to be raining all day, fortunately it is quite heavy. I hope it will last for the rest of the day.

Still hot in London, no rain.  Supposed to be cooler tomorrow, but guess what, no rain.  We have got used to going to the allotment every day to water.   Most plants OK.  I can't remember rain, what colour is it?

Some reports that last rain in London was May 29th.  I can't remember.

Hyde Park had a storm at the weekend I think. But it feels like it must be about that long here.

The bastards keep forecasting rain right up to the day before, then change it. Meteorological gits.

Just looked at the 2 week forecast, hovering about 28 or 29, not a drop of rain.   Rain dance now!  At least when my hols start in August,  it will pour down.

Not a lot different here, around 25-27, no rain. Can't you bring your holiday forward?

Ah, a glimmer of hope, I see that rain is forecast for 30 July.   Only 2 more weeks.

Wobbling between 22° and 25°C here all week - not exactly heatwave territory but not a sniff of rain.

I won't, but I really feel like watering just a bit of my lawn so I can then walk on it barefoot.

I was just reading about how water butts are contaminated with Legionnaires disease.

I wouldn't've thought it mattered, as long as it's only used for watering the garden.

I think it's an issue if a hose is used.

After some very heavy spells of welcome rain yesterday it is now overcast, but according to our local forecast rain is not on the agenda today.

I have just discovered that if you have a hosepipe ban it is still permissible to use it to fill a birthing pool.

I think it's an issue if a hose is used.

It is if you create a spray and breath in the droplets. Similar to if you restart a garden fountain after a period of 'rest' or even a shower head that hasn't been used for sometime.

So that could include using it in a watering can with a rose, possibly.

You can't fill a paddling pool, but a birthing pool might be an exception.

It is, as is filling animal drinking troughs and removing graffiti.
