Didn't actually rain at all over night despite the forecasts.

33! Hopefully not for me as I think I'll melt!

The BBC are forecasting higher temps than the Met Office and Accuweather. Think I’ve mentioned this before but they were miles out when we were on holiday - it was far cooler (six degrees one day) than the Beeb predicted. I’ve noticed this since we’ve been back too, only not to such extremes.

Wouldn't a Welsh rain gauge need to be something like a converted grain silo L R?

There are three types of weather in Wales:
raining;
just stopped raining;
about to start raining.

Have you ever lived in Wales? We have lived here since 1990 and don't find it has a high rainfall.

Sorry L R, I should have resisted the temptation, but I just couldn't, must be these evil spirits we keep on hearing about.

It hasn't been too bad today - perhaps less humid? Even I've been out mowing the lawn soil and doing other gardeningy things.

Warm here but bearable. Make the most of it - from Monday to Friday looks horrendous, although beyond that there seems to be a break in the weather.

28°C predicted here several days next week - not as bad as for some, but I'm still going to live, eat and sleep practically on top of the AC unit.

I was pleased we had some, having been so long without it! However, it looks as if it will be a good while before we have anymore. :(

Hottest day of the year - Santon Downham in Suffolk hit 33.3°C. The Met Office are advising people to stay out of the sun this week.

Very steamy in London.  And no rain for 8 weeks, all the commons and parks are a nice toasty brown colour.

Very different here in Glasgow - been 20C (according to the car) for most of today but very overcast with episodes of light rain, and a tad humid but not excessively so.

28 in our flat today, better than I expected.  About a week ago, we had 35.  Still, the cold beer tastes nice.
