The forecast for here was strong winds and rain, but during the last hour I have been out doing my up-and-down-the-Close walk and it has been quite mild, only one strong gustof wind and turned to blue sky and sunshine.

Wet, blowing a gale. It can just clear up sharpish as I've got to go out for my flu jab.

At last those water buts of mine are nearly full, I got up at about half past two just to check that the bathroom was still OK and it was poring then as it still is now just past mid day.

It is pleasantly sunny after a hard frost first thing this morning.

Sleet, wind, snell and driech.

Cold, drizzly, overcast, and miserable. At least there's no wind.

It's been a Spring tide on the coast. Lots of sand and pebbles flung about recklessly by nature in the last 24 hours.

I was aware that Spring tides aren't related to the season but wasn't sure how they came to be known as "Spring Tides".

Apparently it is because the tide "springs forth" when the earth, sun and moon are lined up in a row during a full or new moon.
Before we work on Artificial Intelligence shouldn't we address the problem of natural stupidity.

Quite bright today, but very chilly, however our postman was wearing shorts!

They do, all year round. Tough people.
Cold, dull, drizzly today but virtually no traffic. It took me 10 minutes door to door to get home from work. Nice to be home in the warm.

Been very icy since Boxing day; occasional snow flurries have added to the ice. Not very deep, but murder to walk on, and no-one's invented a long cane that 'does' ice.

There was no frost this morning, but it feels very cold as there is a northly breeze.
