Light cloud cover, dry, very still, a bit chillier than of late. 16:15: quite remarkably still - not the slightest breath of wind.

I once tried using "chicken" as a password, but was told it must contain a capital so I tried "chickenkiev"
On another occasion, I tried "beefstew", but was told it wasn't stroganoff.

Another still, calm day, but sunny, not cloudy - typical autumn day, and why it's my favourite season. I'm taking a break from digging up my lawn to grow vegetables. It's a few years since i grew my own food, since I gave up my allotment, but now that I'm retired, I've got time, and I don't need a lawn.

Autumn in full swing here. Quite cold in the morning and about 5-10°C during the day. When all the leaves change we call that "ruska", which refers to the different colours of the leaves. That time is almost over though, as most of the leaves have already gone. Nice time for being in the forest. Lucky enough to live a stones throw from a large forest with lots of trails.

After a burst of torrential rain this morning  it's lively. Chilly but no wind. The trees seemed to have turned later this year and the leaves are now falling quickly but may be late overall. It is an odd year as I spent September in Porto but I feel the dark much more this year in part because of that.

Heading into a beautiful, sunny, still evening. Dug my first veg. bed, of four, for a four year crop rotation.

Ditto - yet another mild, still, dry autumnal day.

It was sunset at 4:31pm, not that we have seen any sun for the last few days. There is no wind, but it feels cooler today.

It's a foggy day in Glasgow town. Was foggy when I got up 2 hours ago, much thicker now.

The dull, misty, still weather - which was rather lovely n a melancholy, autumnal way - has finally ended - today is bright, sunny, breezy and a bit chilly.

There was a fog early this morning, but it soon cleared, it is now sunny and reasonably mild.

Beautiful, sunny late-autumn day here in SW Herts. No breeze worth talking of. just been out collecting dead leaves from a footpath in a net bag, to rot down over the next year or two to make leafmould, which is an excellent soil conditioner and mulch. I've now got four bags full, and will get more before I've finished.
