A thread about the weather, very British dontcherknow, I love being British, now could some please explain this game Cricket to me.
In cricket, "silly mid-off" refers to a close-in fielding position on the offside (the batsman's right-hand side) and forward of the wicket, very near the batsman, hence the "silly" label due to the high risk of being hit by a hard-hit shot.
