Christmas Songs
« on: December 20, 2015, 03:12:48 PM »
Hi everyone,

Here is a song of Christmas that I love and have been listening to through the years during Christmas.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLmt345o3mc&list=RDXLmt345o3mc#t=18

I love the energy and the hope that it brings.....besides the resonant voice and devotion of Jim Reeves.

We can keep arguing about the historicity of Jesus....the truth of the resurrection and the actual date of his birth and so on.....but the joy and sense of fulfillment that it brings is invaluable IMO.

Cheers.

That's a lovely carol Sriram....

One of my favourites is O' Holy Night sung here by II Divo:

Hi  SweetPea.

I love Jim Reeves songs (Distant Drums, Snow Flakes, He's got to go). I would listen to them a lot in my younger days.  What a deep and resonant voice!  I now listen mainly to the Christmas ones during this season.

I liked Cliff Richard and Tom Hones too. Sometimes Elvis and Beatles.....

Of course, I was mainly into Hindi and Tamil songs of the 1950's and 60's.  I still listen to them almost everyday.  :)

I listened to the II Divo song. It was great!  Thanks.
