Psalm 2 and Psalm 10.
« on: December 29, 2015, 02:05:19 PM »

It is so relevant to the times we live in now and the way Governments are treating the poorest people in our communities.

Psalm 2King James Version (KJV)

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. Jesus Christ.

7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

It is very true of the way things are today the poor oppressed and the Government and rulers wanting to leave the belief in Christ and his Kingdom behind. At what cost? The poorest and most vulnerable being left to suffer and die.Allowing the poor to be oppressed.

Psalm 10.
Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.(greedy)

4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.

13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

17 Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

We see the way of the world at the moment reflected within these writings and it still says that God will rescue the afflicted and the oppressed. Sometimes I fear for none believers who readily insult God believing nothing can harm them in their course.
That what they say and what they believe in their heart somehow stops the truth and the just cause of God from taking the right course.

If a none believer please think on how you speak about God and the Lord. Because eventually the oppression must end.
As psalm 2 states:
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Think about these days and these times and yourselves according to these teachings. Do not be left wanting... :(

She must have copied and pasted the entire Bible twice over by now, and every instance of it as boringly pointless (and incoherent) as the one before.

Exactly, why do you chase her around everyday she posts? And your remark tells me that you don't read the Bible every day as you claim to.

And of course Shaker jumps on the, gang up on Sass day wagon, with a display of his ugly arrogance.

Verses 1-4 and 9 sound very good when set to music by Handel.

If understood the passages show and reflect how man and the world seek to omit God and his ways. They oppress the poor like our Government is doing at present believing God won't do anything. But God will act on behalf of the poor and oppressed and his people.

The oppression displayed by none believers on this thread shows only the truth of how man has caused all the travesties because they place themselves above the values and truth of God.

Not for me at all - I was referring to all the poor and oppressed people you mentioned who died in poverty and oppression. They must run into the many billions by now.

Why? Will it suddenly become credible next time round?

Do you know anything about tenses?

What tense are the passages you cite in?

"God" is probably trying to explain to them why he chose them to be poor and oppressed while he let others live a free-from-oppressed life of luxury. I doubt they will be fooled by his double-talk!  :)

So what do you think are the the tenses in what I wrote?

Well you are the one who appears to think what he saying is directed at what I wrote.

Anyone could tell he didn't have a valid point. If he had read the post like you. Could you not have fathomed it our for yourselves? I guess you are more concerned with trying to score points than address issues. Only in this case the lack really points are you and Thrud.
