1. I'm really far too modest considering how fantastic I am  ;)

Well, for a start you could point to an example, any example, of "wiping the floor" with anyone.

Dear Floo,

Procrastination, I always leave things to the very last moment then get frustrated at myself for doing so, or maybe I am just a lazy bugger :P

I'm quite a good organiser. I'm the one who runs the tap class, organises our annual lunch (January), keeps the Old Girls (from school) group in touch and organises our occasional meetings.

I think I can safely say that I do not fuss about, or fear, anything.

Yes, I was going to cite procrastination as a fault, but then I thought I'd wait for a bit.

This is a secret - right!

I've always been a fan of a long soak in the bath, with a book, the radio (subsequently iPod + speakers) and some alcohol (beer and/or whisky, but usually both since I retired). I'm serious about soaking and some years ago Mrs G bought me a thingy that you plug in (it has a circuit breaker), attach to the side of the bath, and it skooshes out water into the bath (with an option for bubbles): mucho relaxio!

Anyway, to fast-forward to now, since all three of our kids have (thankfully) grown-up and moved out, 'tempus has fugitted' and we now have 3 grandchildren (13, 9 and 2 years old - with a 4th due next May) and since they were young they have stayed with us 2/3 nights a week - at first because of my daughter/son-in-law's work commitments, but latterly because they wanted to (the older two anyway), but they come as a package.

Now, the youngest loves his baths, just like his grand-dad, and he has some bath-time toys that stay here when he doesn't - and I have to confess that not only do they join me in the bath I've found that if I carefully angle the 'skooosh' bit of the thingy I can make the wee rubber ducks do a circuit of the bath.

How cool is that!

Absolutely brilliant ;D ;D a second childhood, there is a theory that us men never grow up, I can live with that ;) ;)

Impatience, I wish I could be more patient, I can hold back a little more as I have got older.

Things like we stand around in the supermarket checkout queue while the person in front goes through, I get my money or debit card to hand while I'm waiting.

The amount of people that have pushed their goods through, then into their trollies and then seem so surprised that they will have to pay for their goods so again we wait for them to start looking for money or cards, when they could have done the sorting out while waiting their turn, it doesn't take much thought.

It's things like that, that irritate me, I know it shouldn't, but I can't go on being perfect in every other way, without upsetting another group of people, life's so hard.

I do tend to respond to what people are saying without waiting for them to finishbut do try, especially as I've got older,  to stop myself doing this. Hmmm.

Indeed Ippy - it still astonishes me that people don't realise until they have boarded a bus that they have to pay for a ticket!

Dear Susan,

Yes, just listening without interrupting is quite difficult for me, I think it is an ego thing, what I have to say is far more interesting than other mere mortals.
